This blog is about living a better life—stronger, wiser, and more in control. daily journal

I started this blog to share my journey of self-improvement—one lesson, one day at a time. Inspired by wisdom from ancient Greece and Rome, and the challenges we face today, I write about ways to grow in business, fitness, health, and life overall. Think of it as a daily journal you can learn from and grow with.

Hey there,

My name is Mtu. I’m the author of this blog.

Before I get into how this all began, you should know a little about where I’m coming from.

What is

MTU?

MTU is short for Mtu — the singular of Watu (Swahili for “people”). It’s a reminder that we exist because others do; we’re connected. That sense of responsibility — utu / ubuntu — threads through everything I write. I study myself so we can all learn faster, avoid needless pain, and live better.

What this blog

actually is

This site is a daily journal of practical lessons. I write one thing I learned — sometimes big, often small — and explain how it’s useful in life: business, health, relationships, parenting, sobriety, discipline, and more. Nothing religious, nothing preachy. Just honest notes from someone trying to do better.

Why

read this?

You don’t have to. You could watch anything else. But if you want shortcuts through other people’s mistakes and a straight, no-fluff account of what works and what doesn’t — this is for you. I’m not here to brag. I’m here to share what helped me so it can help you, too.

What I’m trying

to do

This blog isn’t a business play (though money is welcome). It’s about impact. It’s about sending the elevator back down. If a single post helps someone get healthier, start a business, repair a relationship, or simply stop repeating a bad mistake — that’s worth more to me than clicks.
